I first heard about Rock Band when my sister-in-law told me about how much fun it was to play with her family. She has a 7 year old son and a 3 year old daughter. There are many songs that you can choose from and the whole family gets into a rhythm. Having the child sing the lyrics on the screen can also be beneficial. The parents can have fun doing the things they always wanted to do, but never had time (e.g. play musical instruments).

Finally, this is a way for your child to be creative. Some kids like to dress up for their songs while their parents video tape them. They can be their favorite rock star and play the instruments on video. Put on a wig or use some hair spray. Some families upload the video to YouTube.com and set specific settings so only their family can see the video. Others take pictures and put them on Flickr.Com. They set access controls so only their family can view them. You really do not have to wait for Halloween to have fun. Enjoy yourself and be creative!
